Music Inspired by Batteries, Power, and Cars

Since the introduction of cars, musicians have found them to be their mechanical muse. You’re in luck if you’re looking for tracks inspired by cars, their batteries, and power!

But let’s get into our suggested tracks to add to your regular playlist!

Songs about Batteries: The Pulse of Music

As you’d imagine, we’re all about having songs about batteries. After all, batteries kick-start your car to go on to new adventures, keep the sound in your car pumping, and so much more!

When musicians tap into creating a new track about batteries, they speak about their role of endurance, rejuvenation, and power!

Our first recommendation has to be “Battery” by Metallica. The kings of thrash metal anthems, this track is no different. Raw and aggressive, it is off their Master Of Puppets.

If you’re looking for something more quirky in tone, Jethro Tull’s “Batteries Not Included” is a song about the incompleteness of modern life. The song’s name comes from the term “batteries not included,” which refers to toys or gadgets not sold with batteries.

The last track is “Battery Acid” by the gritty and intense rock band Queens of the Stone Age, which discusses the substance’s corrosive nature.

Luckily, all our batteries are Sealed Maintenance-Free (SMF), so you won’t need to open them or be exposed to battery acid.

Power On: Songs about Energy and Electricity

The electricity your car’s battery holds is the lifeblood of our vehicles and gadgets. Also, generally, electricity is a powerful force in nature that we’ve harnessed.

When incorporated into music, it often represents creativity, change, and innovation.

Eddy Grant’s classic “Electric Avenue” is named after a street in London that embodies social electricity and party vibes. There’s no better anthem for those looking to get pumped up for a long trip ahead.

One of rock’s best power anthems has to be AC/CD’s “High Voltage.” The band’s lead singer, Brain Johnson, is a known petrolhead who performed the 24 Hours of Daytina in 2012.

Electric Six’s “Danger! High Voltage” track is an excellent mix of humour, rock n roll, and electronica for those wanting more fun with their music. The song’s central theme is the satirical look at how we all want excitement and power!

If you’re looking for an anthem that mixes themes about fame, success, and influence, Kanye West’s “Power” is a great track. With its electrifying beat and powerful delivery, it feels like a bolt of energy. Regardless of his political views and controversies, it is still a good track.

Songs About Cars

Cars represent freedom and adventure. The potential of driving off into the distance to find adventure has inspired musicians.

Whether looking for a classic road anthem like Steppenwolf’s “Born to Be Wild” or a soulful track like Wilson Pickett’s “Mustang Sally”, you are truly spoilt for choice.

Let’s just rattle off a few:

Here’s a playlist of iconic songs about cars, freedom, and the thrill of the road, with direct Spotify links to each track:

  • Drive My Car – A [The] Beatles classic with a playful take on ambition and adventure.
  • Fast Car – Tracy Chapman’s timeless song about escape and dreams of a better life.
  • Cars – Gary Numan’s synth-pop classic explores isolation in a world reliant on technology.
  • Little Deuce Coupe – The Beach Boys were all about celebrating hot rod culture and the thrill of California’s car scene.
  • I’m in Love with My Car – Queen’s ode to car obsession, blending Queen’s rock sound with humour and passion.
  • Mercedes Benz – Janis Joplin’s satirical take on materialism using the Mercedes brand as a status symbol.
  • And On the Road Again – Willie Nelson’s classic tune about the joy of travel and being on the road.

We could go on with suggestions for timeless car tracks, but if you’re experiencing any battery problems in your current car, it might be challenging to listen to them.
