To this end, SABAT® Batteries has kicked off the year on a positive note by committing to the upliftment of a new generation of youth through its sponsorship of Jacaranda FM’s Good Morning Angels New Years’ Edition, powered by Sabat Batteries. This sponsorship will see Good Morning Angels announcing 5 students who will be assisted with funding for their 2021 tertiary education.
AutoX, through its SABAT brand, has shown its commitment to several CSI initiatives in the past and the Good Morning Angels campaign provides the ideal platform to make a difference to people in need of upliftment
Corne Strydom, Sales and Marketing Executive at AutoX, says, “Education is central to development and improvement of the lives of young people. It is important in eradicating poverty and hunger as well as promoting sustained, inclusive and equitable economic growth. By investing in the education of South Africa’s future leaders, SABAT is making its own small contribution to helping the country move forward.”
AutoX is involved in a number of CSI initiatives which it supports through an approach geared towards ensuring their ongoing sustainability. It assists beneficiaries like Reach for A Dream with monetary donations, participation in operational matters and also encourages employee participation in their outreach initiatives.
The Quadriplegic Association of South Africa (QASA) is an organisation which SABAT is actively involved in as a sponsor, supplying them with wheelchair batteries free of charge.
In Port Elizabeth, St. Thomas Secondary School, which is attended by the children of many AutoX employees, receives support in the form of a feeding scheme and repairs to the school’s infrastructure.
TULIP (TUKS University Leadership Individual Programme) is another one of AutoX’s beneficiaries where the company assists students from TUKS to empower and uplift children’s skills at local schools – specifically Laudium and Mamelodi.
AutoX also provides financial assistance to the Forever Friends Foundation – an organization which distributes Life Line Kits to ease the pain and trauma suffered by abused and neglected babies and children who are removed from their homes.
Recently, AutoX announced its involvement as one of the naming rights sponsors of the Els for Autism South Africa Golf Series for 2021 and 2022, something the company is proud to put its name behind.
Corne Strydom concludes, “Our purpose is to make a meaningful difference to communities, and in doing so, fulfilling our purpose of effecting positive change in South Africa. Our CSI initiatives are rooted in our core values and we encourage involvement from our employees as we seek to assist those in need through projects that will provide tangible, lasting benefits.”
